"Arrived with 4 friends for a number of treatments - was kept waiting for an hour in the "relaxation" room - looked like a coffee dock. Was taken in for my massage but the girl stayed while I changed, then proceed to talk the whole 70 mins. You can also hear the conversation in the next room as it's only a partition. No H&S questions asked, not a great massage in general. Very personal questions asked. Then the facial began, a bit better than the massage but she still talked the way through. Next the pedicure, where the girl washed my feet, removed my nail varnish with tissue - after I asked her, did not have a nail clippers and attempted to file my nails, again, after I asked her. I eventually had enough and left. She followed me to reception to see if I complained but the only person there was the first one who did the massage."

Shocking!!

"My friend and I visited the Escape Spa on the 8th of June last. The experience did not start well and did not improve throughout the Spa package experience. We did not fill in/sign any health/safety forms? Relaxation room: crumpled and dirty looking bedding on loungers, no refreshments, no magazines. Changing room: dirty toilet bowls (long black marks), bathrobes had no matching belts, other client's hair bobbins and bikini straps in pocket, no coin to lock the lockers, no towels, dirty showers, hand soap and complimentary shampoo Aldi / Tesco own brand. Thermal suite: steam room cold, salt room cold, jacuzzi out of order (repair guy just turned up while we were there), water dispenser lukewarm water. Treatments were only ok. I did voice my concerns at the start. We were offered 2 free treatments (only received one). Make-up supposed to be Young Blood, but using Revlon. Avoid Spa at all cost!! "

Truly pampered

"I have been to this spa on numerous occasions and get my hair cut there regularly. My friends and I decided to buy the special offer voucher for €80 with a wash, cut colour and blowdry, a full Dermologica facial, a body exfoliation and moisturise. Both my friends and I were really delighted with our treatments. The facial lasted a full 60 minutes and my skin felt great for weeks after. The body exfoliation and moisturise made my skin feel really soft and smooth - will definitely get this done again. The staff were friendly and even though the spa was really busy that day I didn't have to wait too long between treatments and wasn't rushed. As my friends and I were hitting the town afterwards we were able to get our gladrags on in the changing rooms and head straight out. Best value for money in Limerick and I'll definitely be back. "
