I had my second visit to The River Spa today and this was pure relaxation. I had a signature back massage which was divine, my feet were cleaned with warm lovely lemongrass oil that filled the room, the heat from the herbal cushions made it so easy to relax and drift off, my shoulders felt great after it as my therapist really worked on all my tension spots. I didn't want it to end and I am thoroughly looking forward to my 3rd visit in which I wish to try a different Thai treatment.

I visited the River Spa with some friends at the weekend for a treat. The spa was fantastic; I was feeling very tired and really looking forward to some relaxation. We started off in the Mud Rasul in the Thermal Spa, this was divine and my skin felt lovely and soft afterwards. I had the Kamatan full body massage followed by a Chum Chou Facial for Dry skin, I really needed a lift and they were the perfect treatments to have. Will definitely return...

I visited the River Spa back in February, I attended the spa for an offer whereby you got two back massages for €60, I thought this was great as you could use them within a week (I think). Everything was fantastic, no fault of the therapist I found the other rooms which you had to go downstairs to use a bit awkward as I was use to the nice relaxing atmosphere up in the spa. Other than that great value for money and def will go back...

I have recently visited The River Spa with friends, all I can say was our visit was exceptional from the moment we walked through the door we were greeted with a warm smile. Before we began our treatments we started our journey in The Thermal Spa, where you can experience many wonderful rooms. Before our treatments we waited in a Thai based relaxation room where there were juices and fruits to avail of. My therapist greeted me in a very professional manner and when brought into the room my treatment was explained in depth, the Spa seems to be of a Thai origin and the treatments altered to cater for your every need. I experienced the wonderful Signature treatment which was a back massage with heated cushions PURE BLISS...... All my friends spoke highly of their treatments and therapists too...... Cannot wait to return!!!!!!

There is a reason the River Spa was voted one of the best spas in Ireland!!
I got a voucher as a present for the Rejuvenate Package Treatment- Pure bliss. Therapist very professional with excellent knowledge of the products- even bought myself some treats!! The relaxation room was fabulous. The whole experience was comfortable- I will definitely return and will recommend to friends and family.

Love the spa - bad therapist on this occasion

Have visited the spa on numerous occasions for different treatments. Usually the therapists are very professional and excellent at their jobs however on my last visit I was booked in for a massage- the therapist met me and brought me to the treatment room which she hadn't properly prepared and i was made stand while she fixed the bed etc. I found this quiet irritating. The room was bright unlike how it usually is which made it harder to relax. The usual foot cleanse before treatments had only begun when a phone started to ring. I was astonished to see the therapist open up and press and fumble through her bag to find her phone. She apologised profusely but at that point i was really annoyed. The massage wasn't as good as previous ones i have had there and it was hard to relax with the therapist thudding around the bed and breathing really heavily like she was out of breath.

Relaxation room lets the Spa down

Before booking any treatment here please check if the Spa still has inflatable beds on the floor of the relaxation room instead of the usual comfortable loungers. A total disgrace.
Also, heat off in the thermal suite which makes it a very cold place to be.
Did not meet expectations.

I received a gift of a day in the spa for Christmas, and due to a busy work life it was feb before I could use it, it was worth the wait! I relaxed in the thermal spa, then had a wonderful facial and massage, I had a yummy dinner overlooking the golf course and thoroughly enjoyed my day. The staff are professional, friendly and wonderful at their jobs. I finished the day with a glass or two of wine, and stayed over in the hotel with my husband.
