I have been to this spa on numerous occasions and get my hair cut there regularly. My friends and I decided to buy the special offer voucher for €80 with a wash, cut colour and blowdry, a full Dermologica facial, a body exfoliation and moisturise. Both my friends and I were really delighted with our treatments. The facial lasted a full 60 minutes and my skin felt great for weeks after. The body exfoliation and moisturise made my skin feel really soft and smooth - will definitely get this done again. The staff were friendly and even though the spa was really busy that day I didn't have to wait too long between treatments and wasn't rushed. As my friends and I were hitting the town afterwards we were able to get our gladrags on in the changing rooms and head straight out. Best value for money in Limerick and I'll definitely be back.

I attended the Escape Spa in May for a full body scrub and following this choose to buy some products. When I opened one of the products a few weeks later at home I discovered that the bottle was split along the bottom and most of the moisturiser fell out. When I returned the product I expected a refund or a replacement product however the manager was not on duty and the girl behind the desk said she was not authorised to give a refund. They said they would ring back the next morning. When I hadn't received a phone call by evening I decided to ring them myself. I was transferred to the manager who was extremely rude to me and accused me of using the product before trying to return it and dropping the product myself at home. She eventually said she would send the product back to the company but didn't make any promises. I will never return to this spa after the way I was treated.

Stayed in The Absolute Hotel on a Spa Break. Really don`t think you could classify it as a Spa Break though. You have to pay €15 to use the thermal suite which I heard was small so I decided to forego this. On arrival I filled out a form as usual and was taken to a relaxation room. No robe or slippers! The relaxation room was untidy and not inviting at all. Very odd sitting in a relaxation room in a spa in your clothes. I had a body scrub which was fine - cant really go wrong - and an Indian head massage which was no where near as good as previous ones I have had. The therapist I had was nice and friendly however after the treatment she told me to take my time getting ready and drinking my glass of water. I got dressed and sat down to drink my water and read about a product I was thinking of buying and the therapist burst into the room as if I was in there 20mins or something (more like 5).

I treated myself to the €99.00 special at Escape Health & Beauty where you have access to the thermal suite followed by a back massage & facial. I was pleasantly surprised to find I had the entire thermal suite to myself for the duration- what a treat! The back massage & facial was lovely, I even managed to nod off for a bit during the facial massage part - which was a first for me. Then after the treatment I was brought to the relaxation room, again I had the entire room to myself. For a sat I was surprised at how quite it was I didn't see any other clients. A shame - it was lovely.

I had a Total Indulgence Facial €115, at the Escape Spa last Saturday and I was very disappointed. The facial was to last 85 mins but only lasted 65. This facial included a back massage, foot cleanse, facial, neck and shoulder massage and a scalp massage. I received only the facial and back massage. This was the worst facial I have ever gotten. The therapist was not trained correctly. She left out half the process, the bits she did do were sloppy and not performed correctly. I reckon my own daily routine is performed better than the treatment I received. My skin was certainly not glowing or looking any better when I left. I told the therapist I wasn’t happy, she just looked away and mumbled sorry and requested payment. Against my better judgment I paid, I was so mad I just wanted to get out of there. I have sent a letter of complaint and hope they do something about the person who performed my treatment.

Had a facial and was very disappointed. Booked for 4 eventually a girl brought me to relaxation room at 4.30. This room had 4 loungers that had throws that were not redone after each client. A jug of warm water with pint size plastic Heineken glasses. wont be back

Your are only given robes and slippers if you are on a day package. You can only use the thermal suite if you pay or are on a day package. This would be fine but I wasn't advised when I asked. I had a similar experience with the hot stone as the other person who reviewed. I found it strange to lie in the relaxation area after my treatment in my clothes. It was also cold in the relaxation area. While it was a nice experience it wasn't excellent and I would only return for the buy one get one free offers.

This is an ok spa with a nice Thermal Suite, therapists are good & very friendly. I have been twice & really enjoyed my Swedish Massage, was very disappointed with the Hot Stone as there were only 1/2 the usual number of stones used & it lacked the comfort & wonderful relaxation normally achieved from holding the hot stones (which I wasn't given as there weren’t enough, could have been due to the fact my friend was also having the hot stone the same time as me, even so you'd think the spa would have more than one set of hot stones!!!!) Their relaxation suite was a bit cold & only had water for refreshments. I filled out a complaint/compliments card & second time there were juices as well, still feel it lacks something. This is a 4star spa & it just didn't live up to its promise for me. Treatments are barely the 50mins yet full price. I only went back as there was a friend for free offer on.
