I always look forward to my treatments whenever I visit Harmony. I have to date had facials, a variety of massages, leg waxing and eyebrow threading. (I am gradually working my way down the Harmony treatment list ....)
I have always found the staff to be extremely friendly, helpful and very knowledgeable and nothing is too much trouble. The premises are spotlessly clean and top quality products are used. I would not fail to recommend Harmony to anyone, and have done so on many occasions.

Just returned from a wonderful six day retreat at Cloona. The combination of the programme, fresh air, spring water, brisk walks, yoga, reflexology, deep tissue massages, delicious organic food, freedom from electronic devices has left me feeling extremely relaxed and with a sense of deep peace. Went there as a treat from my sister, what a waste of money. The staff were so unfriendly and uppity from the minute I walked in, so I never relaxed. I stuck it out, hoping to get some value for her money, but in the end I wished I had never heard of the place.

There's nowhere else like it!

I did the six-day weight-loss and lost 5 lbs in total. But more than that I can feel that I've lost inches which I hope to keep off for the rest of the year. The week is challenging but very rewarding. It's amazing how quickly I settled into the routine of early to bed and early to rise, fruit dinners and 6 pints of water a day...the group and Dhara's expert guidance helped to get me through. Not to mention the fact that I rarely felt real hunger as the food is so nutritious. I am incorporating a lot of what I learned into my diet and hope to be back again to Cloona in the future. Highly recommended.

Lovely Spa but Relaxation room lets it down

Recently visited this spa, was dying to try it out as it’s new. Treatment rooms were lovely as were the staff, particularly Keva who really knew her stuff. Had a massage and she really knocked the tension out of me! The thermal suits consists of just 2 "showers" really which is the steam room and sauna. Unfortunately the relaxation room lets it down, it’s nicely dimmed but dark decor and a bit of voile/curtains of some kind would be lovely to separate the beds a bit and the beds are very uncomfortable, we found it very hard to relax on them which is a pity but I would return as the range/price of treatments is excellent.

I can't praise the service and experience highly enough at Harmony- A Touch of Spa. It is a little gem in Youghal with plenty of parking and accessibility; The facilities are spotless and calming and the therapists are so helpful, professional but friendly. I used Harmony last year in preparation for my sons wedding and with their help I felt like a million dollars on the day. They took care of everything from top to toe and I would certainly recommend them without hesitation.

I have been to this spa on numerous occasions and get my hair cut there regularly. My friends and I decided to buy the special offer voucher for €80 with a wash, cut colour and blowdry, a full Dermologica facial, a body exfoliation and moisturise. Both my friends and I were really delighted with our treatments. The facial lasted a full 60 minutes and my skin felt great for weeks after. The body exfoliation and moisturise made my skin feel really soft and smooth - will definitely get this done again. The staff were friendly and even though the spa was really busy that day I didn't have to wait too long between treatments and wasn't rushed. As my friends and I were hitting the town afterwards we were able to get our gladrags on in the changing rooms and head straight out. Best value for money in Limerick and I'll definitely be back.

Sheer heaven, from the moment we arrived to the time of our check out. Excellent staff and the very best food. The upgarde to the suite was a wonderful surprise and definitely made the stay a memorable one. We had not enough time to have a treatment this time, but will on our next visit. I'll start by saying I've never written a review before but I felt they deserved it so much I just had to.
From start to finish, absolutely excellent. My mum and I went to a different Spa last week and had an entirely different experience so I guess we appreciated it even more.
We were led down into a beautiful atmosphere away from the hustle and bustle of the hotel. The facilities were clean and luxurious. Even the floor is heated. The pool is on par with the best, great jacuzzi, jets and sauna etc.
The massage was excellent. We both had back massages for 50 euro each. We had the exact same thing last week elsewhere and paid the same amount and I have to say this far far far exceeded that massage. The staff were also really helpful and took the time to understand what kind of massages would suit us best.
Great atmosphere, great facilities and even better friendly staff. Thanks :)

I just loved the bed heaters in the treatment rooms. It made the massage all that more relaxing. All the facilities are kept very well and look very nice. Only fault was that the jets in one of the pools didn't work. The relaxation room is one of the nicest I've come across at a Spa. You get a range of tea to choose from and a lovely snack for after your treatment (smoothie, fruit and granola bar). The staff were all very pleasant including the bar staff who gave us our afternoon tea that was part of the package. I've decided a Spa trip is just what’s needed during my Christmas break every year but I'm sure I'll be back before that.

STEER WELL CLEAR! Besides the fact that the place is a kip, the 2 managers are nothing but thieves. Got a voucher from 1 of the deals sites & they blatantly refused me an appointment so that I wouldn't be able to use it before the expiry date. Emailed them with my voucher number to make appointment & they never wrote back & when I called & said I needed to use voucher was told nothing free.... but when I called back & said nothing about a voucher they suddenly had a free appointment. But when the girl found out who I was she said sorry but I am not allowed take this booking! The manager had warned her not to take my booking after I'd been on the phone to her asking her to at least come to some sort of compromise as it wasn't my fault no appointments were free. She was completely ignorant in her response & offered nothing & refused a refund. I did get a refund from the deals site though.

Spent couple of hours this afternoon in Tonic Spa and it was wonderful! I had been looking forward to this since I made my booking last week. They have great offers each month and their 12 Days of Christmas offers are great value and perfect for a little pre Christmas Treat.
Had hot stone back massage - now I've had back massages before but never with hot stones and have to say it really was amazing. This was followed by a facial and I was so relaxed afterwards. The relaxation room was so tranquil and comfortable!
Thank you so much to my therapist Naomi and Aimee for looking after us so well. Can't wait to return in the New Year for some more pampering.

Hi, it wasn’t at all what I expected, from the busy hotel and being close to the city I was expecting a small salon type place, but when I went in, the music, the candles, the atmosphere, it was perfect and had such a relaxed friendly feel, I was greeted at the reception by someone with a genuine smile, and who took the time to go through their treatment list to help me find the one that suited me best, I didn’t have to wait long for a treatment and was able to go into the thermal suite and lie down on their heated beds, it was bliss, I went for one of the Thai massage treatments that was on offer, I just wished it went on longer then it did, I will definitely be back.

I recently won a competition and the prize was a number of treatments from this Spa. As soon as you walk into the reception there is a very good feeling of calm, the staff are all very friendly and make u feel very welcome. The 1st treatment I had done was a spray tan, everyone is commenting on how natural it's looking, I absolutely love it! I also had my eye-brows shaped and tinted and eyelashes tinted, personally it's the best shape I've ever had on my eyebrows and my lashes look fab. I got the Shellac nails done and even though I've got short nails, they look amazing. Finally I got my make-up done and it seriously had the WOW factor, I can't ever remember looking so good in all my life. I was really made to feel like a pampered princess and I would STRONGLY RECOMMEND this spa to anyone.

From having traveled globally over the past 25-30 years you can find many more exclusive spas. But you will not find one where you can look out over a beautiful fjord and just feel unbelievably relaxed. We stayed in the Leenane Hotel which is adjacent to the baths so actually had 3 baths in the space of our 48hr stay!! If I travel to Ireland again this will be on my list of places to return to. I must say I really loved this Spa, I recently purchased a voucher from living social for a Pure Indulgence package and that’s exactly what it was, pure indulgence!!! It included an hour and a half facial, an hour and a half hot stone massage and an eye treatment, the facial was by far the best I've ever had, the products smelt divine and the therapist was fantastic. I really enjoyed the part with the feet at the start, I've also had hot stone massage in various places before but it was nothing like what I experienced here.
I'm not from the Dungarvan area but I must say I will definitely be returning to this spa again thanks for such wonderful treatments Triona I will see you again very soon and will be trying that new hot shell massage that you recommended!!

I recently had a treatment in the White Pebble Spa in Stillorgan and was pleasantly surprised. I live locally and was unaware of the spa until I received a gift voucher. I had a deep tissue massage and facial and did not want to leave. I found the staff very accommodating and helpful. I thoroughly enjoyed my massage which is very rare as too many times in the past I have had a "deep tissue massage" which was more of a back rub. This massage was fantastic, my therapist who’s name I have unfortunately forgotten, really focused exactly where I had described my tension. She did not shy away from my knots but worked deeply and helped to melt away my pain. My YonKa facial was carried out by another therapist who again was very nice and extremely thorough. I found the facial deeply relaxing and my skin looks fantastic. The Spa itself was beautiful and quiet, playing relaxing music throughout.

Perfect Pre Wedding Pamper Day

My friends and I used the Spa for a pamper day before my wedding and it was just perfect. We arrived to a warm welcome and spent an hour in the thermal suite with sauna steam room and the outdoor tub which was just amazing! We all did this as a group so it was lovely to have a catch up to start the day. Then we all had our treatments, Swedish back massages, It was just to die for... Pure bliss. They even heated our slippers for when we finished!!! Then we had smoothies and fruit pieces while we waited to be called to get our hair done in the hair salon. We had afternoon tea in our robes before we finished, lovely scones and pastries with jam & cream, all fat free we hope :-) It was a beautiful way to spend the day relaxing and would highly recommend. Only wish it could be every week.

I had a wonderful 5 days at Cloona and emerged feeling re-energised and lighter mentally and physically although the programme was not specifically a weight-loss programme. The fellow guests were a tonic in themselves but the combination of the locale, the regimen and the self-imposed isolation from radio, TV, mobile phones and other outside distractions made this a refreshing retreat for the body and soul. Amazingly you don't feel hungry despite the shocking change in diet (wheatgrass shots, plates of fruit morning and evening, one juice day etc. I was inspired to make subtle changes to my lifestyle and am still feeling the beneficial effects of Cloona 2 months on.

Reflexology not that relaxing...

Was really looking forward to going for a reflexology session after work, but was really disappointed. I've had it done before elsewhere a few times and it has been really light soft touches on the feet or gentle rubbing definitely no mauling or deep pressure, but felt that this therapist was trying to work knots out of my feet. Not relaxing at all. Girl didn’t seem to be too interested. The facilities were lovely and I was really looking forward to it, but won't be going back, 50 quid is a lot to pay. Practically it’s quite difficult to complain as it is just you & the therapist....What could I say? Stop! you are no good, I'm leaving, no I wont pay for the session booked......
Anyway, delighted to have seen this site, because at least you can see the feedback. Keep up the good work.

I was visiting Dublin from another country, and using a Groupon voucher, thinking a shoulder massage and fish pedicure would be a great way to relax after a long flight. A woman with an Asian accent I had trouble understanding and another woman who might not have even spoken English because she wouldn't or couldn't answer our questions, walked us (already exhausted and sweating) up three flights of stairs to a massage room and ordered us to take our tops off and lay down. The groupon indicated I would have a head and shoulder massage while getting a fish pedicure, so I refused this and we went down to the basement for the fish pedicure and were thankfully left alone for 30 minutes. There weren't enough fish, especially compared with other salons, but my feet were soft for 2-3 days, so it wasn't all bad.

BEWARE: Three years ago I paid for 6 IPL hair removal sessions at EALU, before I went traveling. Due to problems at the clinic with the machine breaking they were only able to complete 4 sessions before I left. There was NO effect WHATSOEVER. When I returned I wrote to the salon about this matter and stating that I was still owed two treatments. My letter was ignored.

Recently I have received proper Laser hair removal. After only 2 treatments of proper Laser hair removal at a professional clinic I have achieved near total removal. IPL offered by Ealu is NOT laser and is NOT effective for hair removal. I have researched this and all information confirms this.

I paid E520 for 6 sessions with Ealu

I paid only E289 for 6 sessions at a professional clinic (special offer)

Ealu are RIPPING OFF their customers with false promises about an overpriced treatment that is PROVEN not effective

I have just returned form my first visit to Cloona. I did the five day detox programme as I was feeling tired and sluggish and having difficulty motivating myself to do anything about it. After the five days I had lost 5 pounds and kick started an exercise regime that I have maintained since returning home. The Yoga classes were wonderful and a lower back problem has been much improved as a result of them. I went to Cloona because the reviews on this site were so positive so it is wonderful to be now adding my own 100% endorsement of the experience that is Cloona. Catriona, Isabelle, Rose and all the therapists were first class and I now hope to make Cloona an annual event in my calendar.

I have stayed at the Monart on a number of occasions now and each experience never disappoints. From the moment those electronic gates close behind you as you drive up the drive to the Monart entrance door it feels you are totally closed off from the humdrum of life. The staff are fabulous, professional but not in your face, the spa facilities are excellent and open quite late which is refreshing. The Spa is 5* and the service meets all standards. After two/three days you feel you have been away for a week and an added bonus, no children allowed. The Monart to me is a 5* Spa with a hotel whereas the rest in our country are hotels with a spa (well, what they call a spa!!) Keep up the good work and I look forward to my next visit already.

Wonderful deep tissue massage

Anyone who is suffering from back, shoulder or neck tension for whatever reason needs to get themselves off to Zenergy in Dublin 2! I had a deep tissue massage there on 6th October for a very tense and troublesome back. Morgan was my therapist and he was excellent, explained what he was doing and why and the result was amazing. The relief was incredible and the difference in my back and shoulders afterwards was amazing. I plan to do two more treatments over the next two weeks and then go once a month to prevent my back ever getting into the bad state it was. Excellent value as well, very affordable.

I spent five days in Cloona Health Retreat in July of this year. I felt very relaxed and calm there despite being out of my normal comfort zone. The Yoga classes were really fantastic and the nightly massages were wonderful and very professional.
I was pleasantly surprised by Dhara's level of commitment to and interaction with the guests, he was genuinely interested in sharing his knowledge to help us. I learned a lot about nutrition, rest and exercise while I was at Cloona but the big bonus of my stay was that I stopped smoking and lost 5 lbs. Fantastic!

Facilities were top notch. The staff were nice. After changing we were brought to a sort of chill out room. After 20 mins relaxing one of the girls took us for our 1st treatment which was the mud treatment (think it’s called a Rasul) its ok. Afterwards we went for a 55min massage which was very enjoyable. But it was the likes of the steam room, outdoor hot tub, plunge pool etc that I really liked. Very nice Spa and great value.

As a treat before one of our friends went back to Australia myself and 3 friends decided to come here for a day, not one of us were disappointed, it was just amazing, We all got use of the free thermal suite which we really didnt want to leave when our time was up!!! I personally got the Fijian hot oil shoulder and scalp massage by Leona and it was pure bliss, she was a lovely therapist, the other girls got a facial, a warming back massage and a hair style done and were all equally impressed with it and also delighted with there therapists. After our treatments we were given new robes and slippers that had been heated and taken to a relaxation room where we were able to relax in a group again and were given delicious fruit kebabs and fruit smoothies!!! I cannot complement this spa enough we really didnt want our time to finish, have booked in for nov for my Mam and I and I cannot wait!

If you want to get away from the noise, hassles and stress of everyday life then I would recommend Cloona as the perfect place to go. I really enjoyed my week stay there, from the organic food and their own spring water to the yoga and treatments (massage, reflexology, Shiatsu and facials). I left feeling destressed, calmer, and with renewed energy. I would also recommend climbing the hill opposite the main house, the views are breath-taking and there is a place to sit and chill out, with only Buddha as your companion. I haven't got one bad word to say about Cloona, it is a very special place indeed.

I availed of an offer posted on Facebook for an Indian Head Massage. I have never had one before and have never been to a Spa before so nothing to compare to but all I can say is it was heaven! You are checked in and then brought to the changing area where you are given a robe and slippers and locker. The changing area has showers, toilets and use of hairdryer and towels. I was then brought to the relaxation area and this is where, for me, the experience began. Relaxaing music, beds, soft lighting, juice, fruit, water and magazines. My therapist then brought me for my appointment and I loved every minute of it. It is all very discreet and starts off with warm towel on your feet - a lovely surprise and so relaxing. It ends with your warmed up slippers popped on your feet and a refreshing sorbet to consume at your leisure in the relaxation room. I will be back again.

Great pain relief massage

I had been suffering from a bad pain in my shoulder and neck area for some weeks now caused by a fall earlier in the summer where I jarred the whole area after falling awkwardly. I heard about Zenergy's use of a Scenar machine which is used to manage and treat muscular pain and damage. The Zenergy therapist explained its history (developed by the Russian Space Agency for treating Russian astronauts!!) and how it works. I must say I am completely amazed at how effective the treatment has been. The relief from weeks of pain is amazing, for the first time since June I feel my body will recover from the injury caused by my fall. The Scenar treatment, which is completely painless and simple, has been really effective. I plan to have another two treatments and then see if I need any more but anybody suffering from constant back or muscle pain I recommend you contact Zenergy immediately.

I recently stayed in Muckross Park Hotel and decided to treat myself in the Cloisters Spa while I was there. I really enjoyed the whole experience from the helpful girl at reception who helped me choose which massage to have to my therapist who gave the best back massage I’ve ever had - and I’ve had a few! Didn't spend much time in the Thermal Spa but the area was lovely. I would really recommend a massage at the Cloisters, it was pure bliss.

I am just back from a fantastic break at Ciúnas Spa. I stayed on Saturday night in a superior room, wow is all I can say, the views were breathtaking. I had called before arrival to reserve a treatment in the Spa. Celine was the lady I was speaking with, could not help enough. I finally decided on a Hot Stone Back Massage, followed by a manicure and pedicure (a birthday treat!). I arrived to the Spa with my robe & slippers where I met Celine, she showed me to the relaxation area. Then to the thermal area for me! Ciara brought me to my treatment & I have to say it was the best massage I have ever had, Ciara is just Magic! She is a gem. All relaxed I met Niamh for my mani & pedi, such a lovely girl, so professional and accommodating. I will defiantly return to Ciúnas Spa, Heaven in Sligo.

Just back from my 2nd time at this salon. Working just up the road in the business campus, it's a great location for me to have regular treatments. I've been having Shellac on my fingers and toes and a spray tan. Finding it hard to think of a reason to go anywhere else now! At €80 for the 3 treatments I believe it's excellent value for money, and the girl who has been looking after me is fantastic. My tan is flawless, fades off nicely and I'm getting just under 2 weeks out of it without topping up. Nails have been great, the 2 week manicure could probably do you for 3 weeks if you didn't look too closely! Have booked my next few appointments today before leaving, always a good sign!

I had my wedding reception in Kilronan in July 2009 and went for a pre-wedding spa day with my mother. The level of professionalism from the staff and the range of spa treatments were the best that I have ever experienced and all at very reasonable prices. I recently had an amazing experience at Zenergy thanks to the generosity of a very good friend of mine. I was and still am working through a difficult period in my life where niggling aches and pains along with general tension and muscle tightness had become the daily norm rather than the exception. Fatigue and lack of energy were commonplace for me! A deep tissue massage with Morgan has proven quite miraculous. The treatment itself was unlike any I’d ever had before. Morgan, my therapist, was attentive, caring and very professional, if a bit quirky. I had no real expectations but he explained the more ‘open’ I was to the treatment the better the results for me. He talked to me at times during the massage checking that I was ok and offering me assurances that made me feel very comfortable and relaxed. I was literally able to put myself in his hands and let go. It was a really different experience and the following day I felt amazing. . . I had none of the now all too familiar aches and discomforts. As the days passed my energy levels were definitely up and my general disposition was certainly ‘sunnier’. Ten days later I still feel great like as if I’d been wearing a very tight pair of shoes forever and then took them off . . . The relief is amazing! I’ve booked another session as recommended and I can hardly wait. By the way this is the first time I’ve ever posted a review but the experience was too good not to share!

I arrived for the Day Spa Package, completely stressed and hadn't been sleeping. I was looking for the 'miracle cure'. It was the best massage I have received in a Spa. Catherine was confident, strong and very attentive to my needs. I loved the Yonka facial and the Indian head massage was blissful. I steamed and relaxed...cup of tea on the terrace. You don't know what you are missing if you haven't experienced Cloona. I have been quite a number of times since 1995 and it just keeps getting better and better. Dhara has created a wonderful programme in a very spiritual place. My past three years have been at the advanced / continuation programme and while certainly demanding is a wonderful challenging experience. The combination of the detox diet / juicing and wheat grass juice leaves your system as clean as a whistle, the walks and yoga are rejuvenating. But mostly for me, it is about leaving the chaotic world behind for a week to recharge your batteries fully and re-prioritise the demands of daily life.. and losing a good few lbs is quite nice as well.. Really enjoyed my first visit to The River Spa. From making my telephone booking, to leaving- the service was efficient and friendly. I had a back / neck & shoulders massage followed by reflexology- both were excellent treatments and I felt completely relaxed throughout and afterward. The reception area, waiting lounge (before treatment) and the relaxation room were all lovely with fresh fruit, drinks, magazines etc. The changing rooms are very spacious with plenty of locker space, complimentary toiletries and a number of showers. I visited on a weekday and there were only a few other people there which was nice. Steam rooms, sauna and showers in the thermal spa area all lovely- showers were great with lots of different options / settings. Plenty of spacious rooms to move between in the thermal spa area- so even though there were others using at the same time, there was plenty of privacy.

Got my hair done here for my birthday. I didn’t even know what style O wanted, but something to match my outfit which looked like fifties style, the stylist got straight to work and gave me a pin up style hair do!!! It was out of this world, by far the best up-style I ever had! My hair is to my waist and would normally fall out by half nine!! The girls pinned and sprayed and not one hair moved until I woke up the next day!!! By far the best hair salon for creativity, style, cuts, colour, and beauty treatments.... In January, I treated myself to a facial and mini mani/pedi. It was a freezing day and not much warmer inside the salon! The facial was nice, I asked for an eyebrow wax which was done during the facial and resulted in my having a bad skin reaction afterwards! Once the facial was completed, I was shown to a room which held only a pedi chair and told to sit here. I waited for a few minutes with my trouser legs rolled up and my legs turned purple it was so cold. The lady filed (not properly) my nails and painted my hands and feet and left me to dry for about half an hour. I was utterly frozen with sleeves and trouser legs rolled up. When I put my socks on, I smudged my nails on both hands and feet even though she had checked them first and told me they were dry. I mailed the salon after my appointment to complain about my bad experience and received no response.
Very unhappy!

Wow, this is a dream Spa. Decided to try a Kerstin Florian facial having heard so much about the products but what I didn't expect was to feel completely pampered after the treatment! You get free access to the Pool & thermal suites with every treatment so made great use of the facilities. My facial was simply brilliant and my skin still looks fantastic. The therapist was excellent and made some really good recommendations for my skin. The head, foot/leg & hand/arm massage which was part of the facial was heaven and chilling out in the relaxation room with a delicious homemade sorbet was the perfect way to end a perfect visit to Spa Salveo.

When we first walked in here, the whole place was very cluttered. The whole world and its mother seemed to be crammed in the reception area (which also features the manicure station and this fish pedicure thing). We were brought to the relaxation area. The only problem? Some lady plopped next to us on the couch and started preaching at us why we should come back with more people, why we should come back every week and so on and so forth. Not wanting to be too rude, I tried to stick it out but come on? Listening to waffle is not exactly relaxing. Don't need to be an industry expert to know that!
I will say this though; the therapist was amazing. She was attentive and just so good!! I got a massage and my friend got a facial and I believe she was extremely happy overall as well. Wonderful treatment and therapists, shame that pushy sales lady tainted our whole experience.

Booked 2 massages through citydeals. Was very disappointed.... Showed up about 5 mins late (got stuck in traffic). When we arrived there was no one in reception. We sat down & waited for about 10 mins- no sign of anyone. So I called the number & spoke to a lady who stated they were running about 30 mins late & to just be patient. All well in good, I had nearly had a heart attack trying to get there & they were running 30-40 mins late & not even a text from them, they could have saved me a lot of stress.
Massage it self was good, but facilities were disappointing, curtains etc separating guests, you could easily hear the other discussions etc.
Won't be going back...

Hi Folks, I'm just back after a wonderful five day retreat in Cloona Health Retreat. I must say I had reservations about attending because I was the only man on site but the ladies never made me feel uncomfortable in any way. Dhara's words to 'hang in there' were met with new courage as each day passed by. I enjoyed the presence and company of all my 'spiritual sisters' and we supported and encouraged each other along the way. I particularly enjoyed the casual 'Round Table' chats after a walk and I learned so much in the course of these 'life' conversations. One might think that the primary focus in Cloona is a pre-occupation with food but I felt such a freeing-up feeling across the whole spectrum of experience - a wonderful lightness of being. The program was excellent in every way and finely tuned and honed after years of experience. As Arnold Schwarzenneger said: I'll be back!

I have been at Cloona twice before and loved it but this time it was even better. The morning routine now includes a wheatgrass shot which is invigorating even though it's an acquired taste. The diet most of the time is citrus fruit in the morning, delicious soup and salads at lunchtime and a tasty fruit plate in the evenings. Everything is organic. On Wednesdays there is a juice fast which seems daunting but is actually quite pleasant and incredibly energising. There is an option to do a yoga cleanse with Catriona beforehand - I would recommend this as it really adds to the benefits of the juice day.
The yoga was excellent, Caitriona catered for all levels and adapted some moves to suit the less supple. The therapists are all excellent - massage, seiki, reflexology and facials are all available. Now I'm running out of space so check out the Cloona website for yourself!

After yet another disappointing treatment today I am never returning I've had botched spray tans where they have missed entire side of leg but managed to leave running streaks down my chest and lopsided bikini waxes. Substandard pedicures. Awful back massage where after requesting a bit more force the therapist continued with her barely there technique. I topped going however was unable to make an appointment with my usual salon so in emergency situation I made an appointment in the hope it would have improved in the 2 yrs since I'd last been. I clearly was being over optimistic, treatment was not what I asked for and as usual with this salon was far too over priced. Avoid like the plague far better salons in Clonmel offering quality services at much more reasonable prices.

I went to Harmony last week, I had a wedding on Saturday the 23rd July. I got exfolianted done, got a full body spray tan, nails done and my make up also. The exfoliantion was fab my skin was so soft. The tan is natural looking and a beautiful golden colour, still fab. Nails are beautiful. Make up was gorgeous. This was a wonderful spa experience, it literally had it all. The treatments were just wonderful, the staff were fantastic and the Relaxation Room, I cannot put it into words. I have been to quite a few spas, I go at least 5/6 times a year, this Relaxation Room is most definitely the best one I have been to. It had a perfect ambiance. The hotel is beautiful, you will be immediately be impressed when you step inside. We were upgraded to a suite, which was very well laid out and proportioned and had separate living and bedroom areas. I will be going back, no doubt about it. A great hotel and a fantastic spa.

I recently had a back and Indian head massage at the spa at the River Lee Hotel. I love pampering and would say I have probably been to most spas in Cork .The service and the treatment outshone anywhere I have ever been before! Upon arrival the receptionist has to be complimented on her friendly bubbly manner. I also found her most helpful when booking. The treatments were amazing from start to finish. The therapist even asked how I liked the pressure of my massage which I loved! At the end we were brought to relax and given yogurt and water. I t was overall fab! I felt the therapists were outstanding and should be complimented. Overall 5 star service! The only thing I could fault is the surroundings. The relaxation room is very public and not very relaxing! Despite this I would most definitely will return again and again!

I attended the Escape Spa in May for a full body scrub and following this choose to buy some products. When I opened one of the products a few weeks later at home I discovered that the bottle was split along the bottom and most of the moisturiser fell out. When I returned the product I expected a refund or a replacement product however the manager was not on duty and the girl behind the desk said she was not authorised to give a refund. They said they would ring back the next morning. When I hadn't received a phone call by evening I decided to ring them myself. I was transferred to the manager who was extremely rude to me and accused me of using the product before trying to return it and dropping the product myself at home. She eventually said she would send the product back to the company but didn't make any promises. I will never return to this spa after the way I was treated.

I have just returned from a relaxing couple of days in Westport. My husband is from Westport so we travel down quite a bit. This is the first time I have visited the Ayurveda Spa in the Carlton Hotel, it had been recommended to me by a friend. I have to say I have done quite a bit of traveling and have been lucky enough to visit different spa's around the world. The treatments here are amazing, different and totally relaxing. I stayed in this hotel in June and treated myself to some Spa treatments in Tonic Day Spa. The whole experience was wonderful and left me feeling like a new woman. I had a facial and a manicure and pedicure. The facial was one of the best I have ever had and friends commented how I looked like a younger woman the next day!! That can’t be a bad thing! Before and after my treatments I took time out for myself in the relaxation room which had magazines and juices laid on. The lady who did my treatments was so friendly and gave me great advice on my skin and ways to improve my general skin care routine and I have to say my skin has greatly improved. I went for my fourth visit to Cloona at the end of May. I had shingles in February and this left my energy levels very low. The combination of food, yoga, exercise and relaxation renewed my energy and I enjoyed the beautiful scenic walks. I met a lovely group of women (11 is the max). I went with a friend but this is the perfect solo break. The location is ideal for distressing and getting away from it all. It is not a Spa but a retreat. No television, radio or newspapers. I returned 5 lbs lighter which I have kept off + two more because the benefits were so great I have continued to eat healthily. I have just had my cholesterol checked and it is down from 7.5 (with medication) to 3.6
I will be returning again next year. It was just the tonic I needed.

I'm just back from a wonderful week at Cloona and am still in love with everything about it. My last visit there was 2003, so I was well overdue a re-visit! The simplicity of the programme is remarkable, and the resulting feeling of well-being is quite difficult to explain, but very evident in a rejuvenated body and soul. I would highly recommend a visit (it was my fourth time there). It is definitely my dream holiday, and sets you up with great energy and positively. There is great generosity and expertise from each of the wonderful therapists (thank you Ger, and thank you Donal!). Dhara provides incredible food and a really generous sharing of his knowledge and expertise. There is a wonderful integrity about everything. It is also a beautiful place in a beautiful setting. It is what I consider to be the best value holiday - a real treat. Oh, and it's actually a lot of fun.

I was In Zenergy in the relaxation room and what I can only assume to be the same woman sat herself down and was asking what we were having done, wanting details & trying to get us to buy courses. I understand the need to sell products as I am in retail myself but there is a time and a place in which to do this and it certainly NOT while I am relaxing before my treatment!
I agree that once I got rid of her (only because her phone rang) my experience was very enjoyable I will be back, but I just hope I am not bombarded with that sort of selling again!

I have been going to Fusion for a few months now. I have had both my hair done, nails and eyebrows. The girls are all so nice. They make you feel brilliant. I had been going to a larger salon for my hair, but always felt like I was on a conveyor belt. Never felt valued, and never felt pampered. Even having your hair washed makes you feel like you have been pampered. No detail is missed. I brought my 9 year daughter in to get her hair done, and she was treated the same way I was. She was given a head massage too when getting her hair done. It's rare that kids get treated like this any where else. Then she got her nails done (just a polish), it was a brilliant mammy and daughter day. The girls were brilliant with her, and she loved the experience. The best part is the prices too, you get a 5 star service for affordable prices which is why I keep going back.

Attended Zenergy recently for treatment on a recurring hamstring injury picked up playing football. I am really pleased with it and will definitely be going back for some maintenance treatment. My therapist was highly professional, explained to me how the hamstring muscle works and how and why it can become injured. I was also provided with a range of specific but simple to remember stretching exercises to do at home. My hamstring felt so much better after the treatment and I hope to be back playing football very soon. I would definitely recommend Zenergy for treatment of sports injuries. The location is also great as I work in town so I can pop along either during lunch time or after work as they are open late.

I visited Tonic Spa on June 30th and had what I have to say was the best massage I have ever had. The girls name was Amy and she was very nice and friendly, and extremely strong! I had a lot of tension in my shoulders and I didn’t realise how bad it was until I could feel the knots as she massaged. When I got off the bed I felt like a different person! The room was lovely and very relaxing and it was great that it was in a hotel as myself and the girls had a lovely lunch afterwards. Would definitely return and next time will bring my swimming costume as the pool and jacuzzi area looked incredible.

I was in here a few Saturday’s ago and was sitting waiting to get my massage. An elderly receptionist lady came over and asked me a list of questions & tried to push me to get more treatments done, I said that I was here for a massage politely, told her my details were on file and turned back to my magazine. She, however did not get the hint and proceeded to tell me if I bring friends with me next time she will do this and that, telling me it would be great fun etc. I said yet again that I was ok but thanks for letting me know about your offer. She was very pushy and still did not listen to me. For a salon I do not feel that that is the right way to go to get people back, I found her very rude and intrusive asking me details that I had already given, to the younger receptionist when I fist came to the salon. Once I left the reception area my experience was very enjoyable.

A double dose is great!

The card on the back of my bedroom door in Cloona hoped that I would leave refreshed and invigorated by my stay. I did. I am delighted that I took the risk and challenge of booking two weeks back-to-back. This double dose of Cloona's programme has set me on my feet again. Over the two weeks I found myself increasingly able for the walks and the yoga session, the latter being expertly graded to suit all levels of ability. Never did salads and soups taste so good. In addition, the peace of being without newspaper or TV and no mobiles in the house was a great bonus.
The fact that both weeks, over three-quarters of the participants were on at least their second visit to Cloona, speaks volumes about what it can offer. Many thanks to Dhara and a great team and I look forward to returning next year.

Went in for a facial with my friend and the treatment itself was grand but the administration of this place completely tainted my experience.
When I attempted to book over the phone, the receptionist was talking too fast. Thinking she was in a rush and the salon was busy, something that would be perfectly understandable. I bared with her and explained my request. Felt like I wasn't being listened to. On the day of the treatment, we walked in and at reception we were treated coldly. I explained to the girl on reception about my request, and she insisted I hadn't said it over the phone. There seemed to be a slight language barrier but finally another member of staff came from upstairs and clarified to the girls on reception what I was talking about.
My treatment was pleasant, therapist was nice, very relaxing.
If it wasn't for the rude receptionist I would have given a much better review.

I went and had a pregnancy massage in Harmony.. I have never experienced any treatment like it! The staff were so friendly and accommodating! I would recommend any pregnant lady to have this treatment as pregnancy is stressful enough, I was floating coming out! I bought products from them for stretch marks and for swelling of the legs and they are the best products I have ever used and I’m on my fourth pregnancy! I wouldn’t go anywhere else, the girls are outstanding!!!

The calmness of the old building and tranquility of the surrounding nature are mirrored in the courteous, supportive and non-invasive approach of the Cloona team – highly knowledgeable with respect to all matters of healthy nourishment and movement.
My stay in Cloona has been immensely valuable for me, and I have no hesitation to highly recommend a week ‘out of this world’. As hotel spas go, Essence comes up with a good to very good rating. I tried their 30 minute classical back, neck and shoulder massage and came away refreshed and relaxed. The atmosphere is very relaxing. There is a very comfortable waiting area with chaises with adjustable neck cushions. Soft, relaxing music, appropriate mood lighting and serenity were all there, which made the fact that my therapist was 15 minutes late (even though no one else was there) a bit more bearable. Their brochure is replete with caveats and warnings about arriving late and requesting that you arrive 10-15 minutes early for a consultation. Sometimes it makes you wonder who is the client and who is the service provider. The consultation evidently doesn't apply to the type of massage I had since there wasn't one. Oh well, 30 minutes in the waiting area relaxing and getting away can help you overlook some things.

In preparation for my friend's wedding I looked around for affordable prices to get a manicure / pedicure and full leg wax. I decided to go for Zenergy and I loved it. The salon itself was lovely and clean, I found the receptionist welcoming and the therapist who did my nails was incredible. She knew exactly what she was doing and I loved the evenly filed and cuticle free result. The waxing was quick and less painful than previous experiences, maybe because the therapist was friendly and we chatted through the wax! But I also felt she didn’t dawdle and again knew exactly what she was doing.
Without a doubt I would return to Zenergy and I am looking forward to trying some of their treatments in the future.

I could not walk away from my trip to the Spa without telling what an amazing experience I had in Revas Spa. I live locally and had never visited until recently when I got a voucher. Oh my god I was just so impressed with everything from first impressions, greeting, professionalism, staff uniforms, value for money. It was an experience I am not likely to forget but intend to repeat at the earliest opportunity. I had the Rasul treatment with my sister and it was 270 euro between us and for this 135 each we had three and a half hours of pure bliss and then the most wonderful afternoon tea. While having our treatments we also got fruit kebabs and smoothies twice. The staff are beautifully turned out with lovely pearls. Myself and five of my friends intend to do a day before our friend gets married in October, date already in the book. This really is a jewel.

A world away

I've been going to Cloona for 3 years, a couple of times a year. It's light years away from London where I live and work. As soon as I step off the plane at Knock, with taxi driver and family friend Vincent there to greet me, I feel like I've stepped into another, more tranquil world. Far from the grand houses in which British spas are often located, Cloona is simple, old-fashioned even. In recent years there have been variations on the tried-and-tested programme of yoga, countryside / beach walks, massages, saunas and a vegan diet, with weight loss and advanced featured, but the basic principles are always adhered to. On my last visit I tried the liver flush, which produced such large amounts of 'gunk' - small stone-sized green lumps - that I resolved never to over-indulge again (I have, but I'm human - and that's what Cloona is there for!). I think it may be time for another visit!

I went to Zenergy yesterday with a group of girls for my Sisters birthday!! I didn’t want to go there after reading other reviews but it was way, way better than it has been described (not a cardboard box in site) so I thought I better make a comment so other people aren't put off as there were six of us went & it was only 50 euro each, first we got to sit down on couches and were given chocolate and champagne. It was great, We were the only people down there. I got a Swedish massage it was so so so good!! After we got to go back down to the relaxation area and were given herbal tea (I didn’t have it because I don’t like it but the girls all said it was lovely). Its such a nice salon I’d recommend for everyone to go, I’m definitely going to be going back!

This building is crazy, it has 4 floors and when walking up the stairs you can tell it has a lot of history. However the building my have its quirks but that is what gave it its charm, the hot stone massage and facial were one of the best I have had in a long time. I got the ultimate bliss package as a birthday gift. When I arrived I was waiting in the lobby for ages. The girl that did the hot stone massage was very good and I did enjoy that part of the treatment, it went downhill after that. Another younger blonde girl took over she just wanted to rush through the facial, pedicure and manicure, didn’t even ask me what colour nail varnish I wanted on my toes practically told me to shut my eyes while she was doing the treatments. I have had a lot of facials and this was the worst so far, I felt really disappointed, wasn’t even offered a glass of water. The package says 3 hours I was there for just over 2 hours, the package cost 170 - not cheap.
I felt that since it was already paid for the beautician really didn’t care, silly as I am local and if I was happy would have gone back and recommended them to people at work and everyone I know.

I went on the deal at Easter with my two friends and my daughter and we had a great time. We don't get away as often as we'd like to so BADLY needed the break and were surprised with what we got for the price. We were on the mini weekend and had the massages in the morning in the spa which were lovely and had the hot tub after. We had the afternoon tea after in the hotel, which was included in the price too. Then went for a walk over the road in Powerscourt and had a look around Enniskerry before dinner. The only thing we had to pay for was the wine. Only a hop on the M50 but in the country side.

I attended the Spa recently during a visit to Waterford with my sisters. We had availed of a Supervalu Break and had received 50 euro vouchers for the spa. All six of us were more than satisfied with the treatments we had at the Spa. The staff couldn’t be nicer. The ambiance was one of total relaxation. I had a facial treatment which to me rated far beyond any facial I had in the past. It was just heaven. I strongly recommend Spirit Spa and will be going back again as soon as I can afford it.

I recently visited the Spa at The Four Seasons for the Chakra Balancing Treatment, this was one of the most informative & interesting treatments I have ever had. I learnt a lot. My therapist Jackie was fantastic she explained everything about the treatment and made me feel so comfortable. The treatment aligns the the bodies main Chakra's, I was left feeling so relaxed. The scent of the Sodashi treatments were amazing. The Spa itself is beautiful & peaceful & the staff were wonderful. A Healthy Place to Go....

The centre itself is in an old converted mill in a secluded, tranquil, woodland setting. A short walk and there are wonderful scenic views of sea and countryside. An ideal setting if you want to get away from it all and refresh, for whatever reason. Long walks through this landscape are part of the Health programme of Cloona, as are the fruit and vegetable diet, a variety of natural healing therapies, evening massage and sauna and a two hour morning yoga/meditation programme. An inner cleansing is also offered within the Yoga Programme on the five/six day retreat. You will not find a newspaper, radio or a television set in the centre. It is even recommended that mobiles be turned off. (Think about it!) Six days spent in Cloona Health Retreat and I returned home feeling refreshed, detoxed and restored - both mentally and physically.

Stayed in The Absolute Hotel on a Spa Break. Really don`t think you could classify it as a Spa Break though. You have to pay €15 to use the thermal suite which I heard was small so I decided to forego this. On arrival I filled out a form as usual and was taken to a relaxation room. No robe or slippers! The relaxation room was untidy and not inviting at all. Very odd sitting in a relaxation room in a spa in your clothes. I had a body scrub which was fine - cant really go wrong - and an Indian head massage which was no where near as good as previous ones I have had. The therapist I had was nice and friendly however after the treatment she told me to take my time getting ready and drinking my glass of water. I got dressed and sat down to drink my water and read about a product I was thinking of buying and the therapist burst into the room as if I was in there 20mins or something (more like 5).

Stayed at The Delphi Mountain resort for one night on a Spa package. The spa was very quiet (I didn`t see any other guests while there) which was fantastic. I had the therapeutic massage and really enjoyed it. One of the best massages I’ve ever had. The spa facilities include steam room, sauna and huge jacuzzi. It was fantastic to sit in the jacuzzi and look out at the mountains. The relaxation room had water and tea/coffee facilities and plenty of fresh fruit which was lovely. I was also offered a complimentary smoothie after my treatment. Would definately reccommend this spa.

Best day spa I have ever been to! I have just been into the Buff Day Spa and had the most wonderful back massage and facial, toped off by shellac manicure. My therapist was excellent and very professional, not only did she give me the most amazing massage (she can really sort your knots out, I feel as though I’ve never suffered with shoulder and neck pain!), but my nails look fantastic and my skin is glowing. The spa has recently been renovated and is so relaxing, I could have spent the whole day there only I had to pick the kids up! I will definitely be returning to the spa, in fact I rebooked again before I left and got a 10% discount just because I rebooked before I left! Roll on 3 weeks time when I get to go back for my next massage!!!

I recently visited this day spa with my sister as a treat we both received different treatments but I had a hot stone massage and 1hr 30 min facial (can't remember what it was called) but I would highly recommend these treatments the facial in particular was by far the best I've ever gotten and I will be returning soon for another one without a doubt.

I was a lucky winner of a 2 night Spa weekend in Treacy's Hotel in Waterford.
The Hotel is beautiful, and to my surprise we were put up in a suite. The staff in the Spa, were brilliant and so helpful, they couldn't do enough for you.
I would highly recommend anyone who visits Waterford to pop into the Spirit Health & Beauty, you won't be disappointed.

The whole experience was wonderful. From the staff at the Spa reception who explained the treatment and the therapist who took me into her very capable and professional hands. I felt totally at ease. The treatment rooms are very spacious and the motorised beds are so comfortable and again spacious - no danger of falling off!
I finished up in the relaxation room with the herbal tea and fruit which was plentiful. I had 3 treatments as part of a special offer and left feeling more relaxed than I have felt in months.

I booked the French Beauty Day Spa for my sister's hen party. I have to say it was the most relaxed, welcoming and fantastic experience we have had. We were welcomed with a glass of champagne and shown to the waiting room. It was warm, relaxing and had lovely music playing. We were told to make ourselves tea if we wished and there was water also. During the wait for the treatments, the girls refilled our champagne glasses several times.
Our treatments ranged from manicures, pedicures to reflexology massages. Each of the girls said they really enjoyed their treatments.
The ladies who looked after us were friendly, polite and very welcoming. I will definitely be returning to the French Beauty Day Spa, as will all of the girls who were on the hen.
I couldn't recommend here highly enough. A wonderful experience.

Booked in here recently for an afternoon package. When I arrived a young man kindly greeted me and showed me around. I then made good use of the facilities including pool (lovely and warm might I add!) jacuzzi, sauna and steamroom before heading off for my 2 hour treatments. I enjoyed an Elemis facial and deep tissue full body massage - heaven. I then finished off the day with a light bite in the restaurant and a walk around the fabulous grounds. Overall I felt I was well looked after and staff were polite and courteous. An afternoon thoroughly enjoyed and I would recommend it.

I rang AquaSpa and asked if they had any offers on massages, she said yes - a full body massage is reduced from €65eur to €50, I booked it for 5pm the following day.
I was shown to a relaxation room/waiting area by the receptionist & offered a juice or water. Then my massage therapist arrived and I was taken to the room, I changed and she arrived to start the massage. The massage was average and the girl kept talking for most of it which wasn't the most relaxing. At the end I went to pay and the receptionist said the offer was for last week & I had to pay the full amount, when I questioned this she relented & charged 50. At the end I was not offered the use of the relaxation room at all.
I thought the receptionist was rude and overall not a great "spa" experience. Very noisy, no robes, no real relaxation area etc.

A group of 4 of us visited Senses Day Spa for a hen do and were not disappointed. Having opted for the Silver package we each got three treatments – the facials, make-up and spa capsule treatment which was my favorite! The staff were really friendly, the whole atmosphere is really relaxed and they were so helpful.
All in all this a really nice, day spa with great service, good value for money and lovely treatments using professionally recognised products – was great for a relaxing start to a hen weekend. We can definitely recommend it!

I went to French Beauty Day Spa as I got a voucher from my Mum. I loved the atmosphere and how you are well received. Got good tips on my beauty routine, product usage etc... Salon is nicely situated in the city centre which allowed me to go for brunch & do shopping afterwards. I would definitely recommend The French Beauty Day Spa to anybody wishing to be pampered.

This Spa is just great. Myself and 2 girlfriends decided to pamper ourselves but didn't want to venture far and found you on this website Spas.ie. It is a little gem. Everyone was so friendly, from the minute we arrived. They couldn't do enough for us and as it was one of our birthdays we had a complimentary glass of bubbly with our lunch package. My facial was so relaxing I could have stayed all day. Very reasonable. Definitely be back.

On a recent visit to Revas Spa, I spent a glorious hour in the thermal suite before having an amazing aromatic massage. The therapist was absolutely professional and she made sure the treatment experience was relaxing and thoroughly enjoyable. I had the most wonderful time and loved every minute of the 2 weeks I spent at Cloona. I came home feeling revitalised, rested and wonderful. Ready to enter a new chapter of my life. The treatments were excellent, the yoga was inspiring and the sauna and cold shower invigorating. The beautiful simplicity of the house has a supportive and relaxing atmosphere. The heartfelt caring nature of the owner shone through always especially on our daily walks including a stunning beach walk and a secluded woodland trail. The food all organic was incredibly delicious. I can't wait to go back again and again!

The 5 day liver & gall bladder flush not only detox the body but the location / atmosphere / set up of Cloona does so much more for you than that! Prepare for relaxation in every moment that you are there. Rooms are spacious & so tastefully decorated. Food is fabulous & so tasty, being organic really helps. Wheatgrass juice in the morning was a new experience for me but so tasty! I was nervous doing the flush wondering would it work but Dhara provides you with lots of knowledge while allowing you to be at ease! Catriona's yoga sessions were just fab. She brings a real warmth to the sessions. Unexpectedly lost a half stone, couldn't believe it! Indulge yourself in the beautiful place for any of the weeks & you are in for absolute magic. Thank you so much Dhara for you warm hearted welcome & to Catriona for sharing her passion. It is a true awakening of the senses!

Just tried out the full body massage and Comfort Zone facial at Heaven Scent and Beauty delighted that I've found possibly the best masseuse in Galway, The therapist is one of those rare therapists who does deep massage when she says deep! None of this faffing about. The products were heavenly, the spa cute, cosy, comfy and inviting. It's been a long time since I lost myself in a treatment, which I put down to having so many, but this treatment renewed my faith in the power of a great treatment. Ten out of ten!

The whole experience was only pure bliss. From meeting the very professional staff at the Spa reception who explained what the experience would consist of and relaxed me from the word go to the therapists who completed my back treatment, I felt totally at ease. The thermal suite was a wonderful place to start the whole experience; This was recommended by the very professional receptionist when I completed my booking on the phone and I came equipped with for it, I spent approximatley 30 mins there prior to my treatment and finished up in the relaxation room with the herbal tea and sorbet which was only divine. My back treatment was amazing and was exactly what I needed. Some do call me the 'brick wall', so that speaks for itself!!!
I then proceeded to have some afternoon tea in the hotels bar / restaurant which was such a treat. I would definitely recommend to any friend!!! Thanks ladies!!

I attended with a friend for the midweek Spa special which included a facial, massage and body scrub. The facial was divine but then I was switched to another girl for the massage and body scrub. The girl was the receptionist of the hotel and this was very poor. My scrub was a bare effort and did not do anything for me, I was given no moisturiser after the scrub just showered and that was it. The massage was more like a child rubbing you and had no benefit to me. Only for the facial was so good I would have not paid. Receptionist should not be allowed to perform treatments due to lack of staff.

Disappointment from start to finish

My wife and myself used Citydeal voucher in Oceana Spa, and our expectations were high. Saying we should get treatments worth 220€, I think we were entitled to that. What a disappointment it was. I strongly suggest, you go elsewhere to get this kind of treatments. It is fairly easy to get more than in Oceana.

I was there yesterday and I would highly recommend the Spa Capsule. It is a must have treatment that will leave you feeling as though you are walking on air when you leave. The staff were just so nice, they could not do enough for you. I will certainly be back again for the Spa Capsule experience. I spent one hour in the thermal suite, had a hot stone back massage and a ‘Just For You’ facial. The package combination at €120 was very reasonable. The outdoor jacuzzi was fabulous. I loved the hot stones and the facial including a foot massage, I think I might even have nodded off. The therapist I had was amazing, very professional and friendly. The facilities were of an excellent standard, exceptionally clean and a complete place to escape from the day to day routine. I completely enjoyed my few hours to myself and look forward to going again as soon as I can!

Just went for the first time today to get a pedicure. The staff are really nice and very gentle in their manner. The spa seemed a little small on entering, but the treatment rooms are really lovely and have wonderful little ornaments, fabulous sink and relaxing chairs. My pedicure was done exceptionally well and tea/coffee offered to me as well as magazines. Prices are excellent, with pedicure at €35 and wonderful spa packages on offer. I will definitely be returning.

I spent 6 days at Cloona and left feeling lighter in mind and body. It is a delightful place, Dhara is a lovely, calm presence who really makes you feel at ease. The food was delicious and I found the 2 juice days really easy and manageable. The yoga was a particular highlight for me and the massages were superb. I can't wait to go again and really recommend it to anyone wanting a break from the stresses of life and am sure you will feel just as good leaving as I did.

I have to say that from the moment we arrived at the spa the welcome and service was second to none. Gay and Donal were the perfect hosts and made us so welcome. The treatments were excellent and the spa staff were very attentive. Nine of us stayed overnight and the accommodation and food was brilliant. The surroundings were perfect and our hosts couldn’t have done enough for us. I would recommend this spa to anyone and will definitely be returning in the near future. Booked this spa as a Mother’s Day treat for myself & my 2 daughters. We go regularly to spas for treats & thought we would give this a go. We booked for half day package. €150. You don’t go into the house. People live in it. The rooms are at the back of the building. No fluffy robes or slippers. Room was very basic. No blankets, just towels and thin shawls. Massage lasted just 40mins and therapist spent 15 mins doing nothing while mask was on for facial. It was so bad I left without waiting for my manicure & pedicure. Wasn’t charged for what I’d had done so can have a good day elsewhere. Very pricey for what you get. This is really just a beauticians not a day spa.

A group of 9 of us stayed here this weekend, it was absolutely fantastic! Staff were extremely friendly, helpful and full of craic. The food was excellent, facilites and treatments available were beyond expectations. Staff went above and beyond to make our visit truly memorable, they even phoned and arranged taxis and reserved tables at bars for us as we were not local to area; on leaving we were even given food for the minibus home! HIGHLY recommended, will definately be returning.

I have had one full body hot stone massage and another back, neck, sholders, hot stone massage. I felt great after them. The atmosphere in Harmony is so relaxing and the staff very good at what they do. For me the fact they work late on thursday and friday night is a bonus, as after the massage you would be ready for bed, and let me say it would be the best sleep you will ever have.

I did the 6 day weight loss programme in February 2011. We got great tips from Dhara about the proper way and temperature to drink the delicious spring water. We were given excellent advice on how to walk properly, climbing hills and descending will never be the same again. The food was delicious and I never felt hungry which may sound strange but its true. I was accommodated in one of the newly refurbished en-suite bedrooms. The room was tastefully decorated and the bed was really comfortable.
There were 2 juice days and we were all really looking forward to Friday to be able to enjoy the delicious soup for lunch. The terrain around the house is lovely and we did a different walk every day. The walks were challenging for me as I was not used to walking on hilly terrain but well worth the effort. No one put any pressure on you. The therapists were excellent, Thank you to all in Cloona.

Disaster!

This place is a disaster! We booked a massage and arrived looking forward to it having booked a babysitter. They had no booking in the system! I'd made the appointment more than 2 weeks previous when they phoned me after we left a voicemail. Mistakes do happen though so this was ok esp as they said they could fit us in in Portmarnock at half 2, though when we arrived there they said one massage was at 230 then a break, then the other one after that. We had to get back to the babysitter so after 2 wasted journeys we went home. When my husband later spoke to the manager on the phone to sort it out, she put him on hold, but not mute, and said to her colleague "they're liars, they never booked". Totally unprofessional, rude and downright bizarre, why "pretend" to book treatments when there are so many better spas in Malahide. Will not be returning -EVER!
