Myself and my partner stayed in the Carlton Millrace Hotel last week and availed of some spa treatments during our stay. My partner had a deep tissue massage and couldn’t believe how good it was as he usually never has spa treatments when we go away. I had a facial and the products were brilliant and really helped with my dry skin I even purchased 2 to bring home with me. The staff were really friendly and price of treatments were very reasonable and they also have plenty of special offers to choose from. We would definitely recommend a visit!!

Well I went back..I wrote the "Not a pampering Experience" and I have changed my mind, the second time around it was :). They have made a few changes ( now you get to put your clothes in a clocker & change in the changing room) a small thing but much better than carring your clothes around in your hand!. Would recommend it now. Much nicer. Orla- very pleasant.

Had a fantastic time! I went for a day spa package which included 4 treatments and lunch for €150. The therapists made me feel very welcome and at ease, I have been to spas in the past where i did not feel comfortable but this was not the case. Katie took me for an elemis facial which was pure luxury she even began by placing warm towels on my feet and a small massage to my feet. Lunch was served in the hotels roof top restaurant... NICE! which i had all to myself.
I did not like the fact that the spa does not have changing facilities on the same floor as the spa. I did like that even though i was not staying in the hotel I was allowed to use the gym & pool for no extra cost.

Not a pampering experience

Relaxation room, also a waiting room - only 3 beds so you have to wait your turn.
No changing facilities or anywhere to leave your clothes, if your lucky they give you a basket to put your clothes in.....
Would not recommend it for a day of pampering.

I stayed with my partner for two nights on a package that included a spa day and an evening meal for a very reasonable price. The deep tissue massage was the best I have ever had, I felt like she removed every bit of tension in my body. I have already booked to go back with my girlfriends.
The spa does not have a thermal suite but the quality of treatments does make up for this.

nice staff but very small spa. Treatments priced similarly to other spas and about as good as elsewhere but poor general facilities, i.e. no changing rooms/hydrotherapy pool etc. not recommended if you want a complete spa experience
