2-Ingredient Homemade Natural Stretch Mark Remedy

By , April 10, 2014

We’re told to embrace our curves, and so we should! But as for those pesky stretch marks, I don’t think too many would mind if we found a way to mask those a little bit.

You can get stretch marks from lots of things – rapid weight gain or weight loss, weight-lifting, pregnancy or puberty. Anyone can have stretch marks, even skinny minnies. What happens is our bodies grow faster than our skin can stretch to accommodate such growth.

Instead of forking out loads for chemical-laden creams or oils or even laser treatments, give this all-natural super easy concoction a go first. It’s so simple and most people will have the ingredients in their kitchen anyway.

What You’ll Need:

  • 1 medium sweet potato, peeled and chopped

  • ¼ cup of Manuka honey

How It’s Done:

  1. Boil the peeled, chopped sweet potato in a medium pot until it can be easily pierced with a fork, it takes roughly 20 minutes.

  2. Drain it and then pop it in the food processor.

  3. Add the ¼ cup of Manuka honey and blend until the whole mixture is fully combined.

  4. Let it cool to room temperature and then apply very generously to your stretch marks.

  5. Let it sit for 20 minutes to work it’s magic.

  6. Rinse with warm water.

For optimum results you should repeat this every day and hopefully you should start to see an improvement within three weeks. Newer stretch marks tend to heal quicker, so don’t lose hope if the older ones don’t seem to be budging as fast.
